I know I get overwhelmed with all the different coach titles out there in the world today -health coach, wellness coach, life coach, dharma coach, life purpose coach, transformation coach, spiritual life coach… the list goes on. If I am being honest, I think I fit under any of those job titles but what I would be offering you would be slightly different. That is because I have so many certifications though!
Today I want to share with you what spiritual life coaching is all about. Sometimes I have difficulty describing these things because it looks so different to each person I coach. Coaching is all about meeting you where YOU are at on your journey – I would never use the same approach on two different people, but I will try to sum it up for you!
As a spiritual life coach, I help you evolve into your true potential. I help you see the patterns and limiting beliefs that are holding you back from stepping into the highest version of yourself. I help you see what areas of your life are out of balance and teach you healthy coping mechanisms to turn to in times of stress. I help you discover tools you can use to start breaking your old patterns and establish new healthy ones. I hold a safe space where you can confide in me with both your biggest fears and help you explore the true legacy you want to leave behind. I help shine a light on how to heal your darkest parts.
I use a combination of tools and systems to help me with my coaching. My number one tool is Ayurveda and the wellness wheel to help discover what areas of your life are out of balance and how to bring all aspects of your life into balance. From there I also look at your Human Design to discover why you are the way you are and what makes you tick. I use somatics to help me understand what subconscious beliefs may be affecting your health and how I can help you work through them. When I have clients with health issues, I also have a wealth of knowledge on nutrition and supplements that could help facilitate healing and alleviate symptoms naturally. I also use the Dharma Coaching Blueprint for those that are confused about what their true life purpose is and want to build a more meaningful life, even after retirement. I have some amazing tools in my toolbox that can help me truly customize my approach with each client.
So what does a spiritual life coach provide?
1. Expert Guidance.
We are in a day and age where everyone wants instant gratification. No matter what your issue is you may tend to jump on google or YouTube to find the quickest answer. You do realize that anyone can write a blog post or start a YouTube channel with no actual qualifications, right? Regardless, if you want true guidance in your life then you really need answers tailored to your specific situation, your goals, your past, and who you are as a human from a true expert.
Most of my clients tend to put everyone else AND everything on the to-do list before their own needs. I get it. You want to be successful at work, an excellent parent, a supportive friend, and pretend like you can juggle all the balls with ease – but you can’t sacrifice your own happiness and wellbeing in the process. Our sessions will help put the focus back on you and help you show up in all areas of life with more balance, ease, and joy.
You may know that your life is out of balance but aren’t even sure why or where to begin. The great thing about hiring a spiritual life coach is that they can help you gain clarity about what exactly needs to be changed in your life. So, instead of your goal being “I want to be healthier”, your goal becomes “I want to improve my diet so that I can start feeling better and have more energy.” Then we can also look deeper into why you are having a hard time changing your diet, why you are turning to food when you are stressed, and what unresolved issues are contributing to this behavior. Once you have clarity on your biggest goals and your past patterns, it becomes a lot easier to set little goals along the way and we can discover what is truly getting in your way. You know that you can accomplish what you want and I know that too but for some reason something keeps getting in your way. Let's figure out what that is.
4. Help You Create A Plan
Most people have an idea of what they would like to change in their life but aren’t focused on it in terms of setting goals. After we have more clarity on what your dream life looks like and all the aspects that need to be pulled into balance, I can help you set goals and create a daily routine that will enable you to achieve them.
This is a huge one. Making changes to our habits, routines, and lifestyles can be hard. The lower part of your brain has a fear that any change could equal death. Our silly little reptilian brain prevents us from evolving! This is what makes it so hard to change our ways. Having a coach to keep you accountable on a weekly basis can be the game-changer in what helps you evolve. I will hold you accountable to your goals and taking the steps forward to building the life you truly want.
6. Provides Emotional Support
Making both mental and physical changes is not easy. On the journey to improve your life you will definitely have moments where you feel stuck or like you haven’t made the progress you want. Our fears hold us back repeatedly in life and it is important to have someone to confide in that is also your biggest cheerleader. I will be here to offer emotional support on those days that you are struggling, and you will have access to a variety of tools that will help you self-regulate too.
We tend to have two types of people in our lives – those that support everything you do because they don’t want to hurt your feelings and those that don’t support anything you do because they are afraid you will get hurt. Some people will even hide or sugarcoat things in an attempt to protect you from the truth. Neither type of person is helpful to our personal growth. I will always give you my unbiased input from the perspective of looking at what is best for your highest good and I will also call you out on your bullshit when I see it!
Ten benefits I have seen my clients gain from spiritual life coaching are:
· Feeling better overall on a daily basis
· Having a more positive outlook on life
· Increased energy and excitement levels
· Establishing healthy boundaries at work and home
· Improving their relationships
· Eliminating the emotional roller coaster
· No longer eating their feelings
· Using healthy coping mechanisms to manage stress
· Forgiveness and healing from the past
· Having the courage to take a leap into the career of their dreams
These benefits and the process of getting to know my clients on a deeper level are why I love spiritual life coaching so much! I am always amazed at how powerful and transformative a coaching session can be when a client is able to be vulnerable and truly express themselves. Successful coaching does require a level of vulnerability so if you aren’t ready to open up, then spiritual life coaching is not something you are ready for quite yet!
I hope this has been a helpful explanation of what spiritual life coaching is and you understand what some of the benefits of working with a coach would be. I don’t coach just anyone, so I do require a discovery call to get to know each other first. There are so many coaches in the world, and we all have different skills, strengths, and niches which means I may have someone in my network that could be a better fit for what you truly need. I like to make sure that I can truly help you become the highest version of yourself and that we would enjoy working together, so that requires an initial conversation!
P.S. As I am juggling The Flexibility Guru with our new retreat center in El Salvador, Travel to Find Your Self, all of my bookings will be going through that website from now on so the link above will send you to a different website.
